The BSc (Hons) Professional Aviation Pilot Practice
This unique programme has been designed specifically to incorporate all of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulated pilot training, leading to the award of an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and a BSc (Hons) Degree in Professional Aviation Pilot.
The programme provides the opportunity to gain a degree based on your technical and practical flying training, and early career practice as an airline pilot. We also train you to become a Flight Instructor as part of the programme to gain experience towards your airline career.
This hands-on programme is carried out with support from Instructors at Tayside Aviation’s facilities at Dundee Airport. This applies to both ground based and practical flight training with support available for theoretical knowledge exam preparation. All theoretical knowledge exams are taken at an examination centre approved by the CAA. Practical skill tests are also undertaken at Dundee Airport with an approved CAA examiner.
Throughout your programme you will also have access to all online resources at the University. Throughout the programme you will be supported by Module Tutors; these may be either based at Tayside Aviation or the University of Central Lancashire but both will work together to support your learning.
You can start the course with no previous experience.
